Proud of yourself

The stamp is simple, but the message should be clear enough. This is for all of my friends, all whom I know and associate with, those who I have yet to meet, and those in the world I probably never will. Be proud of the person you are, the person you have become, and the person you strive to be.

A long time ago the color of your skin determined your right to equality. It has been squashed now, but there are still those who live in a time of descrimination... and it's not just for race. Gender, orientation, eye color, hair color, body structure... there are so many more to list, and not enough room to do so. ANY insigniciant trait can be a factor to whether you are the one who will be tormented or the one who will be idolized in school, business... LIFE.

Why should it matter? Well, it shouldn't. And it doesn't. You are your own person; your own special being in the world. You have something that makes you different from anyone else, and a lot of times it's easy to lose sight of that in today's profiling society. This is NOT to say that everyone does it, nor is it an attack on those who do. This is for those who have suffered, who will suffer, or even for those who haven't but still strive for their own level of perfection.

You ARE perfect in your own ways.

Be PROUD of who you are. You're worth every breath you take and ever step you make. Show that you will not tolerate the bullying, the discrimination. Show that you have walked a long path to get where you are, and you are proud of everything you have accomplished or strive to accomplish no matter how long the journey.

You are not alone, no matter how much you may think you are.
